These are left over from a recent exercise. Everything is current (have not reached 1st Inspection date yet). Inspection dates are NOT expiration dates, MREs can last up to 10 years.
Dating MRE Components
Almost every component that goes into an MRE has a date code stamped on it in the form "7068". Everything from entrees, crackers, peanut butter, accessory packs, etc. - they all have date codes.
In this case, the first number "7" stands for the year (2007) and the next three numbers indicate which day of the year (365 days in a year) it was packed. So "068" would be day 68 of the year 2007...or March 9, 2007.

This pack gives you “Peace of Mind” because it has just about everything you need to protect yourself and your family when in a survival situation – Whether it may be an Earthquake, Tornado, Hurricane, Flood, Fire, or any other unforeseen event! A key feature of the pack is hydration. Everyone needs water and Seychelle provides it with two 18oz water filtration bottles, and a unique water bag which can be hung from a tree or other above ground location. The bag holds 1 ½ gallons of water – and makes water all day long!

- AquaGear Water bag water purification system - Removes up to 99.99 % of pollutants and contaminants found in drinking water. This high volume water filter produces 100 gallons of pure safe drinking water through the unique gravity feed design. The Emergency Ration Pack was designed for military, disaster relief, marine, aviation, outdoor adventure and extreme conditions applications.
The Emergency Ration Pack is a perfect way to prepare oneself for hurricane survival, tornado survival, earthquake survival and unforeseen non-natural disasters seen every day around the world.
Throw a couple in the car or keep a few at home just in case. Each Disaster Survival Kit contains approximately 1500 calories of life preserving nutrition, as well as numerous items to stay comfortable, remain warm, keep oriented and to be rescued.
The Emergency Ration Pack comes sealed in an airtight bag which is constructed of a high barrier foil laminate designed for the preservation of food items. It is impervious to sun, moisture and air. The high grade survival items within, some of which are military and/or NATO approved, are protected by a permanent seal but include a heavy duty zip lock which makes the bag resealable after initial use.
The Emergency Ration pack is is available in two versions:
- Basic and Advanced. The basic version of the Emergency Ration Pack (US Version)
